I love baking and building cakes—each one a sweet canvas for imagination and delight. This year, instead of baking one for my birthday, I made this block print to celebrate the spirit of cake itself.
This 4x6 hand-printed linocut captures a slice of classic layer cake, full of texture and good cheer. Printed with oil-based black ink on recycled paper, each piece is made by hand from a carved linoleum block. No two are exactly alike.
