Paddle to Deer Island
This block print captures one of my favorite coastal moments—paddleboarding toward Deer Island, a quiet barrier island just off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In this scene, a dolphin surfaces alongside the board, and two mullet leap from the water—those magical little encounters that make a trip across the bay feel extraordinary.
Each piece is hand printed from a linoleum block I carved, using black oil-based ink on recycled 8x10 paper. The image itself is 5x7, leaving a clean border for framing or matting.
Due to the handmade nature of the printing process, every print is slightly different—small variations in ink, pressure, and paper make each one unique.
