Pelican Block Print

from $20.00

A friend asked me to make a pelican print—one with a crown and just the right amount of Mardi Gras flair. I love an assignment… and honestly, this might be my favorite block print yet.

This festive crowned pelican linocut celebrates coastal life with a little extra sparkle. Whether you see it as a Mardi Gras nod, a coastal king, or just a bird with some serious energy, it’s a fun and bold print that brings joy and character to any wall.

Each print is handmade using oil-based ink and a linoleum block I carved in my Mississippi Gulf Coast studio. Because they’re hand-printed, each one is slightly unique—made with the same block, ink, and paper, but with the subtle variations that give linocuts their charm.

Details:

4x6" image on 5x7" recycled French Paper Company paper

Oil-based ink, hand-pressed

Comes with a simple black plastic frame (optional), ready to hang

Each piece is slightly different due to the handmade process

Small batch, made by hand in the Gulf Coast

A fun and thoughtful gift for bird lovers, Mardi Gras fans, coastal art collectors, or anyone who appreciates a bit of whimsy.
